May 15, 2024 Luncheon
Steve Pearl, President of Disability Management Associates, Inc. will give a presentation on NYS General Municipal Law Sec 207, the NYS Benefit program covering Injured On Duty Police Officers and Professional Firefighters, as well as NYS Workers Compensation. He will explore cost exposure (direct and Indirect) to municipalities of the two state mandated programs, as well as comprehensive programs and methodologies available to municipalities to manage the costs and lost work time associated with each mandated benefit program.
Luncheon
The guest speaker will be Thomas Leonard of LANLine Communications, Inc. Mr. Leonard will discuss the current state of Cybersecurity and how to protect your municipalities.
October Monthly Meeting
Brett King, Director of Actuarial Research at New York Compensation Insurance Ratings Board (NYCIRB) will present on the new experience modifier calculation.
September Monthly Meeting
ConEdison representatives will attend to discuss their Underground Storm Resiliency Pilot Program.
Holiday Event
Join MAA as we gather together to celebrate the holiday season! Our holiday party this year will be held at Rivermarket Bar & Kitchen in Tarrytown, New York.
The cost for MAA members is $20 per person and for guests is $40 per person.
Please RSVP by December 3 so we may provide a headcount to the restaurant.
November Meeting
At our November meeting, M. Paul Redd from the NYS Dept. of Labor will present on prevailing wage and public work contracts.
Happy Hour - Career Celebrations
There has been lots of change in professional local government lately with retirements, location changes, promotions and new members. We would like to provide the opportunity for everyone to come together in a casual setting to celebrate our careers and profession. Join us for a happy hour on Friday, November 5 at Pete's Saloon & Restaurant to enjoy the camaraderie.
